This full-time position is perfect for an energetic and meticulous individual looking for stable employment and a chance to contribute to a bustling retail environment right away. As a Shelf Stacker, you are the backbone of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that products are consistently available, neatly organised, and correctly priced on the shop floor, creating an inviting and accessible shopping experience for everyone.

This role involves more than just moving boxes; it’s about anticipating demand, understanding product placement, and maintaining the visual appeal of a retail space. You’ll be crucial in managing stock rotation, ensuring older items are brought to the front to minimise waste, and new deliveries are swiftly processed and stocked. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, possesses a keen eye for detail, and thrives in a fast-paced setting. If you’re physically fit, reliable, and eager to join a supportive team where your efforts are immediately visible and appreciated, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. We value punctuality, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. This is an excellent chance to gain valuable experience within the retail sector and become an integral part of a community-focused operation in Liverpool.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently unload and process new deliveries, ensuring items are checked against delivery notes for accuracy.
  • Stock shelves, display units, and chillers with products, following established planograms and merchandising guidelines.
  • Ensure all products are faced up, rotated correctly (first-in, first-out), and in date.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area, including stockrooms and sales floor aisles.
  • Assist with stock counts and inventory management as required.
  • Operate manual handling equipment safely (e.g., pallet trucks, cage trolleys) if needed.
  • Report any damaged, faulty, or missing items to supervisors promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent support to the retail team, contributing to a positive shopping environment.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry goods comfortably.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety in a retail environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stock management role.
  • Familiarity with stock rotation and merchandising principles.
  • Experience using manual handling equipment.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage with opportunities for overtime.
  • Immediate start for qualified candidates.
  • Supportive and friendly working environment.
  • Opportunity to gain valuable retail experience.
  • Employee discount schemes (where applicable by the end employer).
  • Paid holiday entitlement.
