Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced solar technicians with the installation of solar panels, inverters, batteries, and associated wiring in residential and small commercial settings.
- Learn and strictly adhere to all company and industry safety protocols and procedures during all installation and maintenance activities.
- Carefully carry tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites, ensuring proper handling, organization, and secure storage.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and conduct initial troubleshooting of solar home systems under the direct supervision of a senior technician.
- Assist with essential site preparation, including minor structural adjustments, cable routing, and component mounting.
- Maintain a consistently clean and organized work environment on all job sites to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Engage positively and professionally with customers, representing ZOLA Electric's values and commitment to service.
- Actively participate in all provided training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to continuously develop technical expertise.
- Accurately record installation details, complete necessary documentation, and report progress to team leads.

- Good physical stamina, capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing tasks requiring lifting and carrying.

- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials safely, adhering to weight limits and proper lifting techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in any manual labor, construction-related, or outdoor fieldwork role.
- Basic foundational knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, or general technical aptitude.
- Awareness of general health and safety practices in a work environment.
- Familiarity with the Wete, Pemba North region and its local communities.
- Completion of secondary education qualification (Form IV or equivalent).
