Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for analysis, including proper labeling, logging, and basic processing according to established protocols.
- Maintain the cleanliness, sterilization, and organization of laboratory workspace, glassware, and equipment.
- Monitor and manage laboratory supplies and inventory levels, accurately reporting needs to supervisors.
- Assist senior technicians and scientists with experimental setups, procedures, and breakdowns under direct supervision.
- Accurately record and document experimental observations and data in designated logs or electronic systems.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety protocols, quality control guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Properly dispose of chemical and biological waste materials according to environmental health and safety regulations.
- Perform basic equipment calibration, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Learn to operate and monitor various laboratory instruments under the guidance of experienced personnel.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance laboratory skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
