In this essential role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our local stadium facilities are always in pristine condition, safe, and ready for use by athletes, students, and the general public. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing public areas, changing rooms, and restrooms.
  • Assist with the upkeep of the playing field, which may include mowing, raking, watering, and minor line marking.
  • Undertake basic repairs and maintenance tasks, such as fixing broken seating, replacing light bulbs, and clearing blocked drains.
  • Collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Maintain and organize storage areas for tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Monitor stadium facilities for safety hazards and report any issues promptly to supervisors.
  • Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for events, as needed.
  • Support groundskeeping efforts, including weeding, planting, and general garden maintenance around the stadium perimeter.
  • Ensure all equipment is used safely and cleaned after use.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in maintenance work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a maintenance, cleaning, or groundskeeping role.
  • Familiarity with basic plumbing or electrical repairs.
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese or local languages (e.g., Yao, Makua) spoken in the Niassa Province.
  • First Aid certification is a plus.
