Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying personal information and insurance details.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage appointment changes, and handle cancellations efficiently.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality, adhering to all privacy regulations (e.g., FOIP, HIPAA).
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies.
- Process patient payments, issue receipts, and manage basic billing inquiries.
- Provide general administrative support to physicians and other clinic staff.
- Assist with managing clinic waiting areas, ensuring a comfortable and organized environment.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and electronic communications.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and operational success.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
