Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex Oracle database solutions, including tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Write, optimize, and debug SQL and PL/SQL code for high-performance applications.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance issues, ensuring optimal system efficiency and data integrity.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Perform data modeling, database design, and schema management.
- Develop and maintain data integration processes, including ETL routines using Oracle technologies.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, code, and processes.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Oracle applications and databases.
- Stay current with emerging Oracle technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience as an Oracle Developer or similar role.
- Expert proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database versions 12c, 18c, 19c or higher.
- In-depth knowledge of database design, data modeling, and normalization techniques.
- Proven experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
- Familiarity with Oracle development tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, or equivalent.
- Understanding of database security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, or Oracle APEX.
- Knowledge of Oracle Exadata or other high-performance database appliances.
- Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle solutions (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS RDS Oracle).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an agile environment.
