Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure cloud solutions on AWS.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical architectures and implementation plans.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks through CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure best practices.
- Optimize AWS resource utilization for cost-efficiency and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure solutions adhere to security, compliance, and governance standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical incident response and troubleshooting.
- Stay current with new AWS services and cloud technologies, evaluating their applicability.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as an AWS Solutions Engineer, Cloud Architect, or similar role.
- Deep expertise in core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, SQS, SNS, ECS/EKS).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Route 53).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild).
- Solid programming/scripting skills in Python, Go, Node.js, or similar.
- Demonstrable experience with database technologies (relational and NoSQL) on AWS.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
- Familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices design patterns.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments (e.g., NIST, CIS benchmarks).
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
