As a Moving Company Support Worker, you will be an integral part of our professional moving crews, assisting with all facets of residential and commercial relocations. This position goes beyond mere heavy lifting; it’s about being the friendly and reassuring presence that alleviates stress, the careful hand that protects treasured possessions, and the efficient worker who ensures a seamless and organized transition for our clients. You will be responsible for meticulously preparing items for transport, carefully loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and other belongings onto and off our moving trucks, and ensuring the utmost safety of all items and premises throughout the entire moving process. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of furniture, boxes, and other items onto and off moving trucks, utilizing proper lifting techniques.
- Carefully pack, wrap, and protect fragile items, furniture, and other belongings using appropriate moving materials and industry best practices.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as required, ensuring all components are accounted for.
- Communicate effectively, courteously, and professionally with clients, addressing their questions and concerns with a helpful attitude.
- Ensure all items are handled with extreme care to prevent damage during transit and storage.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures rigorously to maintain a secure working environment for yourself, colleagues, and clients.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and good working condition of moving trucks and equipment.
- Work collaboratively and harmoniously with other crew members to complete moves efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards.
- Adhere to flexible scheduling commitments, arriving punctually and prepared for all assigned shifts.
Required Skills
- Exceptional physical stamina and the proven ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly and safely.
- A strong, demonstrable work ethic and unwavering reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting positively with diverse clients and team members.
- The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed based on client demand.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (e.g., 6 months or more) in a moving, general labor, warehousing, or direct customer service role.
- Familiarity with safe lifting techniques and proper handling of various household and commercial items.
- A valid G Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record (while not mandatory for a support worker, it is an asset for potential career advancement).
- High school diploma or equivalent secondary education.
