Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Hardware Engineer to join our innovative team in Council Bluffs. As a Hardware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and architectural design through to prototyping, validation, and manufacturing support. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test complex electronic circuits and systems for new and existing products.
- Conduct schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection, ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and reliability targets.
- Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation, utilizing test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
- Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and manufacturability of designs.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure hardware compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Analyze and troubleshoot hardware issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
- Generate detailed design documentation, including specifications, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
- Stay abreast of new technologies, components, and industry trends to inform future design decisions.
- Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and incorporating input from cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in hardware design and development.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Experience with microcontroller/microprocessor-based system design.
- Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB).
- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging and lab equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis.
- Familiarity with FPGA/CPLD design and VHDL/Verilog.
- Knowledge of power supply design and management.
- Experience with EMC/EMI compliance testing and design for compliance.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and testing.
