Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Hardware Engineer to join our innovative team in Council Bluffs. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about designing, developing, and testing state-of-the-art electronic hardware systems. As a Hardware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and architectural design through to prototyping, validation, and manufacturing support. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test complex electronic circuits and systems for new and existing products.
  • Conduct schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection, ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and reliability targets.
  • Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation, utilizing test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and manufacturability of designs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure hardware compliance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Generate detailed design documentation, including specifications, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, components, and industry trends to inform future design decisions.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and incorporating input from cross-functional teams.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in hardware design and development.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
  • Experience with microcontroller/microprocessor-based system design.
  • Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware debugging and lab equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis.
  • Familiarity with FPGA/CPLD design and VHDL/Verilog.
  • Knowledge of power supply design and management.
  • Experience with EMC/EMI compliance testing and design for compliance.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and testing.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
