  • Create comprehensive technical drawings, including hard landscaping plans, irrigation layouts, and lighting schemes, using industry-standard software.
  • Design bespoke planting schemes, selecting appropriate flora that thrives in the UK climate while reflecting American garden aesthetics and client tastes.
  • Prepare detailed specifications and cost estimates for projects, working closely with contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate execution.
  • Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring design integrity, quality control, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and managing expectations throughout the design and build process.
  • Stay abreast of current design trends, materials, and horticultural advancements in both the US and UK markets.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Vectorworks) and 3D rendering tools (e.g., SketchUp, Lumion).
  • Extensive horticultural knowledge, including plant identification, soil science, and plant care.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management abilities, with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A keen eye for detail, creativity, and a passion for creating beautiful and functional outdoor spaces.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of American design aesthetics and lifestyle preferences.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications
