About Company
The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) is a leading conservation organization working to ensure the wildlife and wild lands of Africa will endure forever. Established in 1961, AWF has been a key player in African conservation, focusing on land, wildlife, and people. In Rwanda, AWF is deeply involved in critical conservation efforts, particularly within the Volcanoes National Park region, bordering the Burera District. Our work here encompasses anti-poaching initiatives, community engagement, habitat protection, and fostering sustainable livelihoods for communities living alongside wildlife. We believe that conservation is not just about saving animals, but also about supporting the people who share their environment. As a data-driven organization, we continuously seek to optimize our operations, funding, and impact, ensuring every resource contributes maximally to our mission.
Job Description
The Senior Revenue Operations Analyst at African Wildlife Foundation will play a pivotal role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our funding acquisition, grant management, and overall operational processes within our Rwanda programs, with a focus on our Burera-based initiatives. This is not a typical sales-focused RevOps role but rather a strategic analytical position tailored to the non-profit sector, where ‘revenue’ refers primarily to grants, donations, and other funding streams that fuel our critical conservation and community development work. You will be instrumental in analyzing existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance our financial sustainability and programmatic impact across all conservation projects in the region.
Working closely with finance, program, and fundraising teams, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust reporting dashboards, forecasting funding trends, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. Your expertise will help streamline our grant application and reporting processes, optimize donor engagement strategies, and ensure the accurate tracking and analysis of all funding-related metrics from inception to impact assessment. This role demands a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear, strategic recommendations. You will be a champion for operational excellence, driving the adoption of best practices and technology solutions to support AWF’s mission in Rwanda, ensuring that every dollar contributed makes the maximum possible difference on the ground. Your work will directly contribute to protecting endangered species, restoring vital habitats, and empowering local communities in the region, fostering a sustainable future for both people and wildlife. This is a unique opportunity to apply your analytical prowess in a meaningful way, contributing directly to global conservation efforts from a critical field location where your work has tangible, positive outcomes daily. The scope includes not just financial tracking but also performance metrics for conservation initiatives, demonstrating the value and effectiveness of our programs to donors and stakeholders. You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring AWF remains at the forefront of effective and transparent conservation.
