Capital Vision Care is seeking a dynamic and organized Part-Time Digital Publishing Coordinator to join our dedicated team at our Castle Downs location. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in managing, creating, and distributing engaging digital content across our various online platforms, including our website, social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), and patient communication portals. As our Digital Publishing Coordinator, you will ensure all our digital content is accurate, up-to-date, consistent with our brand voice, and optimized for maximum reach and engagement. You will work closely with our marketing and clinical teams to translate complex medical information into easily digestible and compelling content for our diverse patient base. Your responsibilities will span from scheduling social media posts and updating website sections to assisting with email newsletter campaigns and monitoring digital performance metrics. This role requires a blend of creative writing skills, technical proficiency with content management systems, and a strong understanding of digital communication best practices. Key Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and proofread digital content for the company website, blog posts, social media, and email newsletters.
  • Update and maintain website content using a Content Management System (CMS), ensuring accuracy and relevancy.
  • Schedule and publish social media posts across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) while adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Monitor social media channels for patient inquiries and comments, escalating as needed to appropriate staff.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of email marketing campaigns to patients and subscribers.
  • Track and report on digital content performance metrics (e.g., website traffic, social media engagement) to inform future strategies.
  • Ensure all digital content complies with healthcare industry regulations and privacy standards (e.g., FOIP/PIPEDA).
  • Collaborate with marketing and clinical teams to source content ideas and gather necessary information.
  • Assist with basic graphic design tasks for digital assets using tools like Canva or similar platforms.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all digital touchpoints.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace).
  • Experience managing professional social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and digital content optimization.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
