Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Escrow Officer to join our team, serving the vibrant real estate market in Falcon Ridge, Lenexa. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume caseload of real estate escrow transactions from opening to closing.
- Review and interpret real estate contracts, title commitments, and lender instructions.
- Prepare all necessary escrow documents, including closing statements (CD/HUD), escrow instructions, and deeds.
- Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys to coordinate closing activities and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local real estate regulations, including RESPA, TRID, and CFPB guidelines.
- Oversee the collection and disbursement of funds, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and timely.
- Conduct closings with buyers, sellers, and their representatives, explaining documents and answering questions.
- Maintain organized and accurate escrow files, ensuring all documentation is complete and properly recorded.
- Identify and resolve title issues, liens, and other encumbrances that may affect property transfers.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with clients and referral sources.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Escrow Officer or Escrow Assistant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of real estate escrow processes, title insurance, and closing procedures.
- Proficiency in escrow software (e.g., SoftPro, RamQuest) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of legal documents related to real estate transactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
