This entry-level position is meticulously designed for individuals with little to no prior experience in masonry but who possess an undeniable passion and strong desire to learn, grow, and establish themselves within the dynamic construction industry.
As a Masonry Apprentice, you will work diligently and closely under the direct guidance and mentorship of our highly experienced and skilled masons, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in all fundamental aspects of bricklaying, blocklaying, and traditional stone masonry. You will be meticulously taught the essential fundamentals of construction, ranging from precise material preparation and safe, efficient tool handling to understanding intricate blueprints and ensuring paramount structural integrity. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced masons with a variety of tasks on diverse construction sites.
- Accurately prepare and mix mortar, cement, and other essential building materials.
- Safely carry and transport bricks, blocks, stones, and various other materials to designated work areas.
- Meticulously clean and maintain all tools and equipment, ensuring they remain in optimal working order.
- Learn to precisely cut and shape bricks, blocks, and stones according to detailed project specifications.
- Actively participate in the safe setting up and dismantling of scaffolding and work platforms.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations, protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Diligently observe and learn proper masonry techniques, including critical leveling, plumbing, and aligning.
- Support the entire team in maintaining a consistently tidy, organized, and safe work area.
- Demonstrate proactive initiative and a consistently positive attitude in learning new skills and contributing effectively to overall project success.
