Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative visual merchandising strategies that align with brand guidelines and seasonal campaigns.
- Design and execute engaging window displays, in-store promotions, and product presentations to maximise customer appeal and sales.
- Collaborate with store managers and sales teams to ensure effective product placement, stock density, and promotional signage.
- Conduct regular store visits to monitor visual merchandising standards, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
- Research and analyse current market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to inform merchandising decisions.
- Manage and maintain visual merchandising props, fixtures, and display materials, ensuring they are always in excellent condition.
- Train store staff on visual merchandising principles, brand standards, and display techniques to ensure consistency.
- Prepare visual merchandising reports, including photo documentation and feedback, for regional and head office teams.
- Ensure all displays comply with health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser in a retail environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative display concepts and execution.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, colour theory, and spatial arrangement.
- Proficiency in visual merchandising software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of creativity, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and arrange merchandise and fixtures as required.
- Flexibility to travel between store locations within the York area as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Experience working with a diverse product range or in a multi-brand retail setting.
