As our Home-Based FP&A Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the FP&A function by assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
  • Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including variance analysis.
  • Support the month-end closing process by analyzing actual financial results against budget/forecast.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to aid in planning and decision-making.
  • Gather and interpret financial data from various sources to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with various departments to collect necessary financial information.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all financial reports and analyses.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required by senior management.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data modeling)
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Familiarity with financial reporting software or ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (or actively studying towards)
  • Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights)
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry, particularly mortgage or lending
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools
