Deloitte is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Supply Chain Consultant to join our dynamic team in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi. As a Senior Supply Chain Consultant at Deloitte, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact solutions to our prestigious clients throughout the UAE and the broader Middle East. You will be responsible for thoroughly understanding client challenges, conducting in-depth analyses of existing supply chain processes, designing tailored and innovative supply chain strategies, and overseeing their successful implementation to achieve tangible business outcomes. This role involves deep dives into operational processes, leveraging advanced analytics, and applying cutting-edge technologies to enhance end-to-end supply chain performance, from sourcing and procurement to manufacturing, logistics, and distribution.
You will work closely with client leadership, leading project workstreams, managing cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior consultants, thereby contributing significantly to the growth and intellectual capital of our Supply Chain & Network Operations practice in the region. Your expertise will be critical in diverse areas such as supply chain planning (including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and Sales & Operations Planning – S&OP), logistics and distribution network design and optimization, strategic sourcing and procurement transformation, warehouse management, and the strategic integration of digital supply chain solutions (e.g., AI-driven analytics, blockchain for traceability, IoT for real-time visibility). You will navigate complex client environments, requiring strong analytical capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build lasting, trusted advisor relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Lead project workstreams, managing scope, timelines, and deliverables for complex supply chain engagements.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of client supply chain operations, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Design and develop innovative supply chain strategies, including network optimization, planning process improvements, and digital transformation roadmaps.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders, effectively communicating complex concepts and influencing decision-making.
- Oversee the implementation of supply chain solutions, ensuring successful integration and measurable business impact.
- Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering their professional growth and contributing to team development.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and client relationship management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain consulting or a senior supply chain role within a large organization.
- Proven expertise in at least two of the following areas: supply chain planning (demand, inventory, S&OP), logistics & distribution, procurement, warehouse management, or supply chain technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with C-level executives.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA with a focus on Supply Chain Management or Operations.
- Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or supply chain planning software (e.g., Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, O9 Solutions).
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, Lean Six Sigma).
- Prior experience working in the Middle East region.
- Fluency in Arabic is a strong asset.
