Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and test aerospace components, systems, and structures using advanced engineering software and methodologies.
  • Conduct detailed stress analysis, fluid dynamics simulations, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and refine prototypes, participate in ground and flight testing, and analyze test data to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management, throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Participate in design reviews, critical problem-solving sessions, and innovation initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes in aerospace engineering.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
  • Proficiency in FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software (e.g., Ansys, Nastran).
  • Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, structural analysis, and materials science.
  • Experience with propulsion systems, avionics, or aircraft structures.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in Canada or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, FARs, EASA).
  • Prior experience in the design, development, or testing of UAVs, commercial aircraft, or space systems.
  • Project management experience in an engineering context.
