As a Drywall Installer with Career.zycto, you’ll be an integral part of our construction crew, contributing to residential and commercial projects across the College Hill area and wider Bowling Green region. You will learn the entire process of drywall installation, from measuring and cutting sheets to hanging, taping, mudding, and finishing. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced drywallers with all aspects of drywall installation and finishing.
- Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets accurately according to project specifications.
- Load, unload, and stage materials and tools efficiently at job sites.
- Prepare surfaces for drywall application, including cleaning and basic framing inspection.
- Learn and practice taping, mudding, and sanding techniques for seamless, high-quality finishes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all company safety protocols and construction site regulations.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of scaffolding, ladders, and other essential equipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure project deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
- Handle and store materials properly to prevent damage, waste, and ensure organized job sites.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other trades on site.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (e.g., drywall sheets, tools) up to 75 lbs regularly.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced professionals.
- Excellent attendance record and punctuality are essential for team reliability.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and a commitment to working safely in a construction environment.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites in the Bowling Green area.
