As a Glassblower in training, you will work closely with experienced artisans, learning the techniques of glass manipulation, furnace operation, annealing, and finishing. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all aspects of glassblowing training, demonstrating eagerness to learn and apply new techniques.
  • Operate and maintain glass furnaces, glory holes, and annealing ovens under supervision, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Assist experienced glassblowers with gathering, shaping, and manipulating molten glass.
  • Learn to use specialized tools such as jacks, blocks, and paddles to sculpt glass into desired forms.
  • Prepare raw materials, including cleaning and cutting glass rods and tubes.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products, identifying and addressing imperfections.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and best practices within the studio.
  • Collaborate with team members on artistic projects and production schedules.
  • Continuously refine skills and knowledge through practice and feedback.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently when required.
  • A keen interest in glass art, craftsmanship, or manufacturing.
