Chef Christian & Co. is seeking an enthusiastic Part-Time Buffet Serving Assistant to join our dedicated catering team in Norman Gardens, Kingston. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and arrangement of buffet tables, including food displays, serving utensils, and decor according to event specifications.
- Monitor buffet lines regularly to ensure food items are well-stocked, fresh, and presented appealingly throughout the event.
- Replenish food, beverages, and supplies as needed, coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all buffet stations, wiping down surfaces and handling spills promptly.
- Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner, assisting with queries and special requests.
- Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Clear used plates and utensils from guest tables and buffet areas efficiently.
- Assist with the breakdown and cleaning of buffet equipment and dining areas post-event.
- Collaborate effectively with the catering team, including chefs, other serving assistants, and event managers.
- Handle minor complaints or escalate issues to management promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high presentation standards.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and carry items for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
