Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design from concept development through to project completion.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Ensure all designs and constructions comply with UK building codes, planning regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Collaborate seamlessly with clients, contractors, structural engineers, and other consultants.
- Conduct site visits and inspections, providing technical guidance and quality control.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and design assistants.
- Integrate sustainable design principles, innovative technologies, and energy-efficient solutions into projects.
- Present design proposals and progress updates to stakeholders and clients.
Required Skills
- ARB (Architects Registration Board) registration in the UK.
- RIBA Part III qualification or equivalent internationally recognized professional architectural qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in architectural practice.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning law, and construction processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in all RIBA work stages.
- Demonstrable portfolio of completed projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Architecture or a related specialist field.
- Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodologies.
- Accreditation in sustainable design (e.g., LEED AP, BREEAM Assessor).
- Experience in heritage conservation or urban planning projects.
