Career.zycto invites dedicated and skilled Paramedics to join our dynamic emergency response team serving the Blackburn and greater Prince George area. As a Paramedic, you will be on the front lines, responding to a diverse range of medical emergencies, performing life-saving interventions, and providing critical pre-hospital care. Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, assessing patient conditions rapidly and accurately.
- Administer emergency medical care, including CPR, defibrillation, wound care, and medication administration in accordance with protocols.
- Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and IV pumps.
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities, ensuring continuous monitoring and care throughout transit.
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations thoroughly and accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical professionals, and emergency services personnel.
- Maintain readiness of emergency vehicles, equipment, and supplies, performing regular checks and restocking.
Required Skills
- Valid Paramedic license/certification in British Columbia (PCP or ACP).
- Minimum 2 years of active experience as a Paramedic.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in high-stress situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Class 4 driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a rural or remote emergency medical services setting.
- Proficiency in pre-hospital trauma life support (PHTLS) or equivalent.
- Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
