Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Plumber to join our dynamic team, operating on various projects across Bradford and the wider West Yorkshire region. This is an exceptional full-time opportunity for a skilled professional eager to contribute their expertise to a range of domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing installations, maintenance, and repair tasks. As a core member of our on-site teams, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of workmanship and safety. Your day-to-day will involve diagnosing plumbing issues, performing installations of new pipework, fixtures, and appliances, as well as carrying out routine maintenance and emergency repairs. We pride ourselves on delivering prompt, efficient, and reliable plumbing solutions, and we’re looking for someone who shares this commitment to excellence. You will work alongside other skilled tradespeople, project managers, and clients, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, offering effective and lasting solutions.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan and execute plumbing layouts and installations.
- Ensure all work complies with current building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on plumbing systems.
- Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles to a high standard.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and project managers.
- Provide accurate estimates for time and materials required for tasks.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs as required.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience as a qualified Plumber.
- Proficiency in both copper and plastic pipework systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to plumbing.
- Full UK driving license with a clean record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas Safe registration (if applicable to previous roles).
- Experience with commercial plumbing systems.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience operating in varied environments and project scales.
