As an Android Developer with us, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of application development – from concept and design to testing and deployment. You’ll work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to build high-performance, user-friendly, and visually appealing mobile applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android applications using Kotlin or Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Kotlin or Java for Android development.
- Solid understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Strong knowledge of Android UI/UX design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with modern Android architecture components (e.g., LiveData, ViewModel, Room).
- Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of UI testing frameworks (e.g., Espresso) and unit testing (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Previous experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
