Job Description

This remote role will be critical in driving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives for Career.zycto and its diverse client portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sustainability principles, regulatory frameworks, and best practices across various industries. As our remote Sustainability Manager, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive sustainability strategies that align with business objectives while delivering measurable positive environmental and social impact. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing expert guidance on everything from carbon footprint reduction and circular economy models to ethical supply chain management and responsible resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive sustainability strategies for Career.zycto and its clients, aligning with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Conduct thorough sustainability assessments, audits, and gap analyses to identify opportunities for environmental and social improvement.
  • Lead the development and tracking of key sustainability performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) factors, circular economy principles, carbon footprint reduction, and responsible supply chain management.
  • Research and monitor emerging sustainability trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to ensure proactive strategy adjustments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to integrate sustainability considerations into project planning, product development, and operational processes.
  • Educate and train internal staff and clients on sustainability best practices and company policies.
  • Prepare compelling presentations and communications to report on sustainability progress and outcomes.
  • Manage sustainability-related certifications, reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB), and compliance efforts.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in sustainability management, environmental consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of ESG principles, climate change science, and relevant environmental regulations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, CDP).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., LEED AP, CESCP, GHG Protocol certification).
  • Experience with life cycle assessments (LCA) and environmental impact modeling.
  • Familiarity with specific industry sustainability standards (e.g., B Corp, ISO 14001).
  • Experience in developing and delivering sustainability training programs.
