Job Description
Are you a skilled HVAC professional seeking a challenging and rewarding role within a large-scale industrial environment? Taganito Mining Corporation is looking for a dedicated and experienced Commercial HVAC Installer to join our dynamic team in Surigao City. This crucial role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems across our various commercial and industrial facilities. You will be instrumental in ensuring optimal indoor environmental quality, energy efficiency, and operational continuity for our offices, workshops, and other key structures.
As a Commercial HVAC Installer, you will work with a variety of complex systems, from large-scale chillers and air handlers to ductwork, refrigeration units, and climate control systems. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. You will collaborate closely with our engineering and facilities management teams, contributing to planned installations and responding to urgent service calls. Key Responsibilities
- Install, connect, and test various commercial HVAC systems, including split systems, packaged units, chillers, cooling towers, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation according to specifications.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork, plenums, and other air distribution components.
- Perform brazing, soldering, and wiring of HVAC components safely and effectively.
- Conduct start-up and commissioning of newly installed systems, verifying proper operation and calibration.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system malfunctions using specialized tools and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on existing HVAC equipment to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system performance.
- Collaborate with other trades and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in commercial HVAC installation and service.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, electrical wiring diagrams, and refrigeration cycles.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools specific to HVAC trade.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and best practices in an industrial setting.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- TESDA NC II/III certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and control systems.
