Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with their daily tasks, including fetching tools and materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by regularly clearing debris, organizing materials, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment around the job site using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Support site supervisors and project managers with various administrative and operational duties, as directed.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all team members, supervisors, and other personnel on site.
- Perform other general labor duties as needed to support project progression.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting objects up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to dynamic work conditions.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience on a construction site, whether formal, informal, or volunteer-based.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour construction safety certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus, though not required.
