Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in the historic Garden District of Monroe, Louisiana. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and analysis of various structures, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, as well as specialized infrastructure projects. You will be instrumental in all project phases, from conceptualization and preliminary design through to construction administration and project close-out.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of various building types and materials (concrete, steel, timber, masonry).
- Develop detailed structural calculations, specifications, and reports.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and codes.
- Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and project stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions.
- Conduct site visits and inspections during construction to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Evaluate existing structures for renovation, rehabilitation, or change of use.
- Utilize advanced structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, RAM Structural System).
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, building codes, and structural engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables efficiently.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in structural design and analysis.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE).
- Strong understanding of building codes (IBC, ASCE 7) and industry standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit Structure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana or ability to obtain within 6 months.
