As an Entry Level CT Scan Technologist, you will be a vital part of our diagnostic imaging department, playing a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Learn and perform CT scans under direct supervision, adhering to established protocols.
- Assist in patient preparation, including explaining procedures and obtaining consent.
- Accurately position patients for CT examinations, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Monitor patients during scans, recognizing and responding to adverse reactions.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, performing daily quality control checks.
- Process and manage images, ensuring diagnostic quality and proper archival.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle) for patients and staff.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current or eligible for ARRT (R) certification; ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong foundational knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
