Job Description

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for ensuring the robustness and effectiveness of complex solutions? Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solution Validation Specialist to join our thriving team in Lobatse. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in evaluating, testing, and validating a diverse range of business, operational, and technological solutions before their deployment. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive validation strategies and plans for various solutions (software, hardware, processes).
  • Design, execute, and document test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure solutions meet specified requirements.
  • Perform thorough functional, performance, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, log, track, and re-test defects, working closely with development and implementation teams for resolution.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and end-users to understand requirements and translate them into validation criteria.
  • Develop and maintain validation documentation, including test plans, test reports, and traceability matrices.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior validation specialists and other team members.
  • Ensure all validation activities comply with internal standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Participate in requirement gathering and design reviews to provide early input on testability and validation considerations.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, methodologies, and tools in solution validation and quality assurance.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution validation, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing comprehensive test plans and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple validation projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSM, PMP).
