Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a meticulous and dedicated Laundry Attendant to join the dynamic teams within our esteemed hotel partners across Nairobi. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be an integral part of maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that our partner hotels are renowned for. This role is crucial for ensuring that all linens, uniforms, and guest laundry are processed efficiently, hygienically, and to impeccable standards. Key Responsibilities
- Sort and process all hotel linen, including towels, sheets, uniforms, and guest laundry, according to established procedures.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and irons, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, and wear, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Fold, press, and organize cleaned laundry efficiently, ensuring items are ready for distribution or storage.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies and report needs to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards within the laundry department.
- Assist with the delivery and collection of linen to and from various departments within the hotel.
- Handle guest laundry requests with care and discretion, ensuring timely and accurate service.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, preferably within a hotel setting.
- Familiarity with various laundry equipment and cleaning agents.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy laundry bags.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a laundry environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
