Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and watering.
- Assist with planting, weeding, mulching, and general garden bed upkeep.
- Operate various landscaping equipment such as mowers, string trimmers, and leaf blowers safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Participate in seasonal cleanup activities, including leaf removal, snow removal prep, and debris clearing.
- Ensure proper care and storage of tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while working.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or property damage to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with property residents or visitors.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled as a student (high school or post-secondary).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid G2 or G Class driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferred, but not strictly required for all roles).
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or outdoor labor is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with basic landscaping tools and equipment.
