Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and physically capable Driver Helper Transport Assistant to join our clients’ growing teams in the bustling Yaya Centre area of Nairobi. This crucial role involves working closely with our drivers to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of goods to various locations across the city and surrounding regions. As a Driver Helper Transport Assistant, you will be an integral part of the logistics chain, responsible for assisting with loading, unloading, and securing cargo, navigating routes, and providing exceptional customer service at every stop.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading goods, ensuring secure packaging and safe handling to prevent damage.
- Verify merchandise against invoices and delivery manifests, confirming accuracy of orders.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Help navigate routes efficiently and adhere to delivery schedules, reporting any delays or issues promptly.
- Assist with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle's cabin.
- Operate basic material handling equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, drivers, and customers to resolve delivery-related issues.
- Represent the company professionally at all times while on duty.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Excellent physical stamina and endurance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of Nairobi's geography and road networks.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
Preferred Qualifications
