Key Responsibilities
- Direct the movement of aircraft within controlled airspace, preventing collisions and ensuring safe and efficient flow.
- Issue takeoff and landing instructions, clear aircraft for taxiing, and provide critical flight information to pilots.
- Monitor and interpret radar displays, flight progress strips, and other data to track aircraft positions.
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively with pilots and other air traffic control units.
- Manage emergency situations, providing prompt and accurate assistance to aircraft in distress.
- Coordinate with adjacent air traffic control sectors and airport ground operations.
- Maintain accurate records of aircraft movements and operational incidents.
- Adhere strictly to all national and international air traffic control regulations and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain certifications and enhance skills.
Required Skills
- Valid Air Traffic Control license/certification (e.g., NAV CANADA ATC license or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to make rapid, accurate decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional spatial awareness and visualization skills.
- Superior verbal communication skills, especially in high-stress environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively.
- Proficiency with air traffic control systems and technology.

- Fluency in English (ICAO Level 4 or higher).
