Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the safe and efficient mooring and unmooring of the vessel.
  • Perform general cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of the vessel's deck and exterior.
  • Participate actively in routine safety checks, drills, and emergency procedures, ensuring strict compliance with maritime regulations.
  • Operate and maintain various deck equipment, machinery, and tools under experienced supervision.
  • Report any defects, damage, or maintenance issues promptly to the First Mate or Captain.
  • Assist with passenger embarkation/disembarkation or cargo handling as required, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Stand watch as directed, assisting in navigation, observation, and communication duties.
  • Actively contribute to fostering a positive, cooperative, and safe working environment onboard.
  • Learn and meticulously adhere to all company policies, operational procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.

Required Skills

  • No prior maritime experience required – comprehensive, full training will be provided.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately, efficiently, and with attention to detail.
  • A strong team player with excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks, often in varying weather conditions.
  • Possession of a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach.
  • Highly reliable and punctual, understanding the importance of crew schedules.
  • Basic understanding of the English language (both written and spoken) for safety and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic First Aid certification or a willingness to obtain it promptly.
