Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for various catering events.
- Set up event venues, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, glassware, and decorations according to event specifications.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in food preparation and serving areas.
- Wash and properly store kitchenware, serving dishes, and catering equipment.
- Monitor food and supply levels, communicating needs to the catering manager.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of catering supplies and equipment.
- Dismantle event setups and ensure all equipment is accounted for and returned to storage.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and company policies.
- Support the catering team with any additional tasks to ensure successful event execution.
Required Skills
- Prior experience in catering, hospitality, or food service is an asset (but not strictly required for motivated individuals).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
