As a Database Admin, Company Systems, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level database solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, patch, and upgrade database software (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimization strategies.
- Perform database backup, recovery, and replication procedures.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and availability through access control, encryption, and regular audits.
- Implement and maintain database schema changes and data migrations.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database structures and queries.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for databases.
- Document database architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one major RDBMS (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
- Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies.
- Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
