In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and debugging of firmware for our cutting-edge embedded systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement embedded firmware for new and existing products, primarily in C/C++.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers for board bring-up, hardware/firmware integration, and debugging.
- Develop and maintain device drivers for various peripherals and sensors (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, ADC, DAC).
- Implement and optimize communication protocols and network interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
- Perform extensive testing, debugging, and validation of firmware to ensure reliability and performance.
- Contribute to architectural design discussions and participate in code reviews.
- Document firmware designs, specifications, and test plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware-software interaction issues.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development
- Extensive experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, PIC, AVR)
- Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) concepts and application
- Experience with various communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet)
- Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
- Ability to read schematics and datasheets for hardware components
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience with wireless communication technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, LoRa)
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python for testing and automation
