Job Description
We are actively seeking an experienced and highly skilled Panel Beater to join our reputable Body Repair Centre at NTT Toyota Gaborone. This is a critical role for an individual who takes immense pride in their craftsmanship and possesses a deep understanding of vehicle body repair and restoration techniques. As an Experienced Panel Beater, you will be instrumental in repairing damaged vehicle bodies back to their original factory specifications, ensuring the highest levels of structural integrity, safety, and aesthetic finish. You will work on a diverse range of vehicles, primarily focusing on Toyota models, but with exposure to various other makes that come through our service centre.
Your day-to-day will involve precise dismantling, accurate measurement, expert panel beating, welding, filling, and finishing work. We are looking for someone who is not only technically proficient but also possesses a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and an unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and estimate repair time and costs accurately.
- Dismantle and reassemble vehicle body panels, components, and trim.
- Repair damaged bodywork using a variety of tools and techniques, including panel beating, pulling, shaping, and welding.
- Replace damaged parts and panels with new or reconditioned components, ensuring correct alignment and fit.
- Perform filler work and prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring a smooth and flawless finish.
- Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Spot Welding) safely and effectively.
- Utilize vehicle measurement systems to ensure structural integrity and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on all repairs to ensure they meet NTT Toyota's high standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with paint technicians, mechanics, and other team members.
- Continuously update knowledge on new vehicle models, repair techniques, and equipment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater in an automotive repair workshop.
- Exceptional skills in panel beating, welding, and body filler application.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools specific to body repair.
- Strong understanding of vehicle construction and repair methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair diagrams.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver's license.

- Relevant trade qualification or certification in Panel Beating/Body Repair.
