Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for members, addressing inquiries via phone, email, and chat with professionalism and efficiency.
- Provide comprehensive information and assistance regarding financial products and services, including accounts, loans, mortgages, and investment options.
- Perform various account maintenance tasks, transaction processing, and troubleshoot digital banking issues.
- Identify member needs and proactively suggest suitable financial solutions and services offered by Northern Credit Union.
- Resolve member concerns and complaints effectively and empathetically, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all member interactions and transactions in our CRM system.
- Adhere strictly to all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge and service delivery skills.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless member experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a financial institution or call center setting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a clear, professional, and friendly demeanor.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management.
- Proficiency with common office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and comfort learning new digital platforms.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with CRM software and financial services platforms.
- Knowledge of credit union products, services, and regulatory requirements.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
