Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately, reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including changing bed linens and tidying patient rooms.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to prevent injury.
- Respond promptly and kindly to patient call lights and requests, addressing immediate needs or relaying information to the appropriate personnel.
- Document patient care activities and observations meticulously in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a reassuring and positive atmosphere.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, procedures, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
- Transport patients, specimens, and equipment within the hospital as directed, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
