Job Description
This role is for a highly creative and technically proficient Studio Digital Editor to join our vibrant team in Ottawa, Ontario. Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality video content for diverse platforms (web, social, broadcast).
- Collaborate closely with creative teams (producers, videographers, designers) to understand project vision and deliver on creative briefs.
- Incorporate motion graphics, special effects, sound design, and music to enhance visual storytelling.
- Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines, technical specifications, and legal requirements.
- Manage and organize media assets, maintaining efficient project files and archives.
- Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions, contributing innovative ideas for visual narratives.
- Review and implement feedback from internal teams and clients efficiently.
- Stay current with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in digital video editing.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to video editing software and hardware.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and delivery specifications for various platforms.
- Excellent storytelling abilities and a keen eye for visual composition, pacing, and continuity.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Solid knowledge of color correction, sound mixing, and basic motion graphics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and client interaction.
- Demonstrated portfolio of previous digital editing work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Film Production, Broadcasting, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience with 3D animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender).

- Experience in a studio environment or with live-action production.
