Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Carpenter with a specialized focus on furniture design and construction to join our esteemed client’s team, working on exciting projects primarily located in Kiambu. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for furniture construction and installation.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, laminates, and other materials according to design plans.
- Utilize various carpentry tools and equipment, including power saws, routers, planers, and hand tools.
- Perform intricate joinery (e.g., dovetail, mortise and tenon, biscuit) to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and drawer slides with precision.
- Apply finishes, including sanding, staining, varnishing, and polishing, to achieve desired aesthetic and durability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, project managers, and other team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to design, materials, or construction during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all finished furniture pieces meet high-quality standards and client specifications.
