Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions.
- Execute repairs, adjustments, and calibrations of production machinery, conveyors, pumps, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to facilitate repairs and installations.
- Document maintenance and repair activities accurately, including parts used and time spent, for record-keeping and analysis.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production teams and other technicians to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
- Install and commission new mechanical equipment and systems as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial machinery.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Competency with various hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Solid understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
