Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Port Louis. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel, ensuring optimal resource allocation and workflow.
- Monitor production schedules and output, adjusting operations as needed to meet targets and deadlines.
- Implement and enforce strict quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards and customer specifications.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of manufacturing equipment, identifying and addressing any issues to minimize downtime.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide training and development to team members, fostering a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and resolve workplace issues.
- Prepare daily production reports, analyzing performance metrics and suggesting areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain) to optimize overall production efficiency.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles) to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling.
- Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Production Management, or a related technical field.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in a manufacturing context.
- First Aid and/or Fire Safety certification.
