Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Medical Billing Specialist to join our dedicated administrative team at Kariba District Hospital. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) to ensure proper code assignment for diagnoses and procedures.
  • Process patient payments, manage accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their billing statements and payment options.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments to obtain necessary documentation for billing purposes.
  • Stay current with changes in healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and insurance policies.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and financial records.
  • Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement in the revenue cycle.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
