Job Description
Webdev (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Marketing Copy Editor to join our dynamic and growing marketing team, with a flexible remote work option. This pivotal role involves ensuring the highest quality, accuracy, and brand consistency across all our marketing communications and client projects. You will be instrumental in refining our messaging, enhancing clarity, and upholding our brand voice across a multitude of channels, including website content, blog posts, email campaigns, social media updates, ad copy, press releases, and internal communications. Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread a wide range of marketing materials, including website content, blog posts, email newsletters, social media copy, ad creatives, brochures, and case studies, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Enforce brand guidelines, tone of voice, and style guides across all written communications for Webdev and its diverse clientele.
- Verify factual accuracy, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax in all content.
- Collaborate with content writers, marketing specialists, and designers to optimize copy for readability, engagement, and conversion.
- Ensure all content adheres to SEO best practices and accessibility standards.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to content creators to improve overall writing quality.
- Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, evolving language standards, and digital marketing best practices.
- Conduct final quality checks before content publication to guarantee error-free delivery.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a copy editor, proofreader, or similar role in a marketing or media environment.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and how effective copy influences consumer behavior.
- Proficiency with various style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago, or established in-house styles).
- High level of attention to detail and unwavering accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of providing clear feedback.
