Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily retail operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of retail associates to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalated issues with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including opening and closing registers, deposits, and daily reconciliation.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with merchandising, and ensure the store maintains a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all operational standards.
- Conduct regular performance checks and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Support the Store Manager in various administrative tasks and strategic planning as needed.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for both customers and staff by adhering to safety protocols.
- Act as a key holder, responsible for opening and closing the store as per operational requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a retail environment, with at least 18 months in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a knack for motivating others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and staff.
- Proficiency in Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per retail demands.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- A strong understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or an Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience with visual merchandising and inventory management software.
- First Aid and CPR certification (current).
