Career.zycto is seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our fully remote team and play a pivotal role in evolving our infrastructure, automation, and deployment strategies. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be at the forefront of driving continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices, ensuring seamless software releases, and championing operational excellence across our diverse product portfolio. You will leverage modern cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and infrastructure-as-code principles to architect solutions that empower our development teams and deliver exceptional value to our customers. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong grasp of system architecture, security best practices, and a commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within a distributed team environment. If you thrive on optimizing workflows, automating repetitive tasks, and securing resilient systems, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact from day one. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring our software delivery lifecycle is efficient, reliable, and secure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges and contributing to a dynamic, forward-thinking organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Develop and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Implement and manage containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and orchestration.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability, scalability, and security of production environments.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate new features, resolve technical challenges, and improve software delivery processes.
  • Champion and implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle and infrastructure management.
  • Automate operational tasks, scripting in Python, Bash, or similar languages to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to address critical production incidents and ensure rapid resolution.
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to enhance our DevOps capabilities and overall system architecture.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Solid scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Deep understanding of Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals
  • Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
  • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills for a remote team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, CKA)
  • Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments and compliance frameworks
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., SaltStack, Puppet)
  • Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

  • Generous paid time off and flexible holiday schedule
